How do I add subtitles to a video for free?
Sign up free, upload the video and the speech is transcribed into subtitles timed to each word. Fix any word, pick a style, then export the MP4 with subtitles burned in or download an SRT. Captioning and exports cost no credits
Can I add subtitles without a watermark?
Exports on the free plan carry a small watermark at 720p. Paid plans export without a watermark: 1080p60 on Creator from $19 a month, 4K on Pro. The SRT or VTT subtitle file has no watermark on any plan
Is adding subtitles free?
Yes. Generating captions, editing them and exporting are free on every plan, including the free plan with 300 credits a month. The free plan exports at 720p with a small watermark; paid plans export up to 4K
Can I download an SRT or VTT file?
Yes. The Studio export menu saves captions as .srt or .vtt for YouTube, players and editors that read sidecar subtitles, and it can also burn them into the MP4 for platforms that do not. You can import an existing SRT too
How accurate is the transcript?
Clear speech transcribes very well, and names, jargon or heavy crosstalk may need a quick fix. Every word is editable in place, so corrections take seconds and keep their timing
