Clipping

Reframe landscape video to vertical, automatically

Turn 16:9 into 9:16 without keyframing a single crop. The frame follows faces, the active speaker or the ball, and cuts cleanly when the subject changes

Free plan: about 15 clips a month (300 credits) · no card needed

Face tracks, active speaker and the vertical crop · Real pipeline output · His Girl Friday (1940), public domain

How it works

  1. 01

    Paste a link or upload

A YouTube URL or your own file: podcasts, interviews, streams, talks, matches. Longer is fine, every minute gets scored

  2. 02

    The clipper finds the moments

It transcribes, reads faces, voices, reactions and audio peaks, then ranks candidate clips for hook, payoff, pacing and whether they stand alone

  3. 03

    Review, tweak, post

Each clip opens as an editable project in the Studio with captions and crop already in place. Export or schedule straight away

What you get

  • Face and speaker aware

The crop centres on the person talking and holds steady instead of jittering with every small movement

  • Action tracking for sports

An object detector follows players and the ball, so highlights stay framed on the play

  • Split tiles when it matters

Two people in shot and both important? The frame switches to stacked tiles rather than cutting one of them out

  • Fix any frame by hand

The crop is a keyframed layer in the Studio: nudge it, hold it or override a shot in seconds

FAQ

Questions people ask

Updated October 2026

Will it cut people's heads off?
The crop is driven by tracked face boxes with safe margins, and it holds position instead of chasing every small motion. When the subject sits near the edge or two people share the shot, it switches to a cut or split tiles
Can I reframe to 1:1 or 4:5 as well?
The clipper outputs 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok. In the Studio you can change the canvas and re-render the same project for other ratios
Does it work for sports and gaming?
For sports it switches to action tracking that follows players and the ball. Screen-recorded gameplay works best with a manual crop or a split layout with the facecam, both available in the Studio
